MLD / Mel Lim Design is pleased to host the first DMI Night Out in San Diego, by screening the latest Design & Thinking documentary at the Museum of Photographic Arts. A Q&A & panel discussion with the producer of the documentary to follow.
What is DMI Night Out: DMI Night Out is hosted by local DMI members providing a source of support and partnership for today’s critical issues, connecting cross-disciplinary design and business leaders in their local communities, then sharing these global insights with the entire DMI community on the DMI website following the events.
DMI’s first events, held in the mid-1970s at a Boston bar, grew from a small group of Design Managers confessing the challenges they were facing in their roles, and sharing solutions, methods and empathies over a few beers. DMI Night Out continues this tradition of like-minded people sharing their knowledge around current issues facing design leaders.
About Design & Thinking Film: Design & Thinking documentary is a Kick-Starter backed documentary that explores the term "design thinking", its methodologies and how it is utilized to solve problems within businesses and society. This documentary brings together a wide range of perspectives and thoughts from designers, educators, business leaders, and entrepreneurs, from Tim Brown, Richard Grefé to Roger Martin and Zachary Rosen.
